Only beast mastery elite skill I can ever remember is from that guy in explorable closer to the stars area, nahpui quarter I think. Pretty sure it's not ferocious lunge though. As for whether the skill is core, if you got that info from guildwiki I wouldn't trust it 100% since guildwiki isn't always right about some stuff. One way to find out is if somebody with a ranger who has the skill can open up their skill list and toggle the skill order arrangement. I think there's an option to list by campaign and I think the sections are tyrian, canthan, and core (or prophecies, factions, and core I can't remember). If it shows up in core, then ANET should be informed. If it shows up under prophecies/tyrian, then you have your answer and you'll need to buy the 1st game.

The Core/Prophecies/Factions list came from Anet/Guild Wars.

Outside Amatz Basin, Darkroot spawns twice, but the second one used to be an ele boss.

Why would you take offense? No one is 100% right all the time. GuildWiki is a great source and like all wikis is an ongoing update. We don't have all the information about prophecies or factions and not everything everyone provides is always right. Having the pvp list state it as core is an official source saying it's so, therefore it's really the most reliable. Don't take it personally if you work on that site. The staff there does a great job but is by no means responsible for 100% accuracy.

This is not a programming error. Anet does this to force you into buying prophecies.

they dont force u into buying it dude.....when u buy factions, it already has prophecies in it. All you have to do is travel there on wutever character u have.

Agreed. Faction's is a standalone, therefore, it does not need Prophecies to function, therefore Faction's comes by itself.

It *is* a big deal - maybe not for this chapter, but when theres 5 chapters+ are you reasonably going to expect everyone to have all of them? Its a core skill it has to be in all chapters, or the whole point of core skills is gone. Mabye in chapter 3 they will forget to add a barrage boss, will you be telling people to not care then?

Sorted skills by Campaign as you can see, Core skills are listed on top and I had to scroll down just a bit since it wouldn't fit. So, Ferocious Strike SHOULD be in but isn't. GuildWiki is wrong sometimes, but they're right now.

Beastmaster bosses in game:
Royen Beastkeeper: in Nahpui Quarter explorable, has Enraged Lunge
Salke Fur Friend, outside Jade Flats (Kurzick Side), has Heal as One
Chehbaba Roottriper, has Beastmaster skills, usesTrapper's Focus as an Elite, does not have pets near him to charm, giving him an pretty useless skillset (Uses Viper's Nest as only skill)

There are no other Ranger bosses that have/use Beastmaster skills (Ryver Mossplanter has Lacerate which is linked to BM, but uses no real pet skills).

The whole point of Core skills is that they are available in all chapters.

The pets are from the support rangers...the Luxon Rangers. Notice how there are 2 elder crabs and at the same time 2 Luxon Rangers.
He doesn't have Charm Animal on his skillbar either...Daeman

I think the whole idea was for Aurora to have a pet. Did you notice how she keeps on saying sometihng along the lines of: "Hector's hungry, can you feed him?", "Dont eat that Hector, its bad for you stomach" (or something along that lines). If a hench has a beastmaster skill it would probably be Aurora.

Edit: This is when you take her as a hench later on, dont know what she says in the Boreas mission.

Aurora doesn't have Beastmaster skills either, however I do agree FS would probably be found in the Luxon Areas, since Luxon Rangers have Charm Animal, same goes for Yeti. In the city/Kurzick areas, the beastmaster bosses are the only ones in their specie/group that have Charm Animal.

I'd actually have prefered seeing a Beastmaster hench, instead of Aurora now (have never taken her into the group TBH)

I think the confusion stems from the fact the data files has both games in it but you have to have the access keys to actually use both. Still trying to figure out why anet doesn't intelligently download content based on keys yet..
